The Alex Schrock Trio could be described as a modern jazz outfit, but the influences are much more diverse, including Nujabes, Flying Lotus, Animals As Leaders, Leo Brouwer to Radiohead (and the list goes on). These influences are put in a musical environment where free flowing improvisation meets careful composition.
