Sensational all-star group from Columbus brings the music from iconic keyboardist, Chick Corea, and his Grammy-winning 1978 album, "Friends," in their to the Rubber City! Featuring Michael Cox, Erik Augis, Andy Woodson, Louis Tsamous, & Kelly Crum-Delaveris.

FLIPPO returns to BLU by way of Columbus to perform tunes from Chick Corea’s revered “Friends” album, plus selections from Corea’s acclaimed LP’s” Light As a Feather” and “Return to Forever” with special guest vocalist, Kelly Crum-Delaveris.
“Friends” is one of three albums that Corea released in 1978, along with “The Mad Hatter” and “Secret Agent.” 1978 also featured the release of live albums “An Evening With Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea: In Concert” and “RTF Live” with Return to Forever.
“Friends” was nominated for, and received the 1979 Grammy award for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance, Group.

FLIPPO is a Columbus, OH based jazz group displaying instrumental virtuosity and creative energy in the spirit of sonic colors and innovation born of the “funk” and “jazz/rock fusion” movements of the 1970’s and beyond. The band features Michael Cox on sax, Erik Augis on keyboards, Andy Woodson on bass, & Louis Tsamous on drums.
