The Tri-C Jazz Workshop Alumni Ensemble began as a group formed by Cleveland tenor saxophone legend, Ernie Krivda, with the idea of pulling together a quartet of former Tri-C Jazz Studies Students from different generations to perform on a regular basis.
That group ended up being comprised of Brent Hamker on guitar, Jessica Yafanaro on bass, and Ricky Exton on the drums. Since beginning to perform together in August of 2015, the ensemble has began to come together with a nice sense of musicality and a deep appreciation for grooving. This group wants to swing and swing hard.
