At 25-years-old, Lucas Kadish is taking large strides in the world of jazz and improvised music. He has performed alongside artists such as Les McCann, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Braxton Cook, Dominick Faranacci, Jonathan Barber’s Vision Ahead, and many more. Lucas was named a YoungArts finalist and a Presidential Scholar of the Arts semi-finalist in 2014 and was selected for the international Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program in 2015. He’s led many tours of his own music nationally and internationally. Originally from NE Ohio, Lucas moved to NYC to attend the New School for Jazz on the President’s Scholarship. Now graduated, he lives in Brooklyn, NY where he teaches and performs regularly.
