Akron's own, guitarist Dan Wilson, is one of the biggest names on the jazz guitar scene today! He has shared the stage with the likes of Russell Malone, Les McCann, Christian McBride, Eric Marienthal, and Dave Stryker, to name a few.
A finalist in the 2015 Indaba Music Wes Montgomery International Jazz Guitar Competition, Dan has been on an international tour with three-time Grammy nominated jazz organ legend, Joey DeFrancesco, in support of their all-new studio album, "Trip Mode," which also features drummer Jason Brown & bassist Mike Boone.

Bring your “axe” and play through tunes, pick up licks, trade 4’s, and enjoy the camaraderie of having a gathering place for the area’s finest professional jazz musicians (as well as the up-and-comers)!

Recipient of a 2015 Knights Art Challenge grant award by the Knight Foundation, BLU Jazz+ Masterclass Foundation expands upon the essence of Akron, Ohio’s award-winning live jazz destination, BLU Jazz+ Akron (BJA), launched in Fall 2014.
