Powerhouse percussionist and drummer, David Throckmorton, brings his hard swinging jazz quartet to Blu Jazz! Joins us for this special night featuring, Scott Boni (saxophone), John Shannon (guitar), and Paul Thompson (bass).
Drummer David Throckmorton first gained national attention in the late 90’s while touring with legendary trumpeter Maynard Ferguson. David has performed and/or recorded with David Fiuczynski, Tony Grey, Hotei, Mike Stern, John McLaughlin, Dianne Schuur, Michael Feinstein, Reb Beach, Nir Felder, Javon Jackson, Sean Jones, Dan Wilson, Chris Potter and Billy Sheehan. He is one third of the DTC Organ Trio with guitarist Dan Wilson and organist Cliff Barnes. In addition, he leads or co-leads his own groups such as Thoth Trio, Smash Your Wagon, Fourth River, Throckmorton Plot and the David Throckmorton Quartet. David endorses Yamaha Drums, Sabian Cymbals and Vic Firth Drumsticks.
