NICK PUIN BAND (8PM-9:30PM) Northeast Ohio native drummer, bandleader and composer, Nick Puin, brings his fabulous quintet to “Jazz Central” for an intimate set of swingin’ standards!
A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Puin’s compositions and arrangements have been performed by members of The Cleveland Orchestra, The Cleveland Chamber Symphony, The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, The Singing Angels, The Bop Stop Jazz Unit & more!
Take a stroll down memory lane with the band’s renditions of classic tunes like, “Exactly Like You,” “Time After Time,” “Polka Dots & Moonbeams,” and “The Best Is Yet to Come.”
TIM COYNE QUARTET (9:30PM-11PM) The Tim Coyne Quartet (or TCQ) features Tim Coyne, John Perry, David Spondike & Scott Velardo and performs straight-ahead jazz, including original music and classic standards, and features great vocals on many standards. The quartet was founded in the mid-1990s and began by playing a few local bars and coffeehouses. Between then and now, they have played stages big & small, and in numerous venues around NE Ohio.
