John Fedchock's “JJ Johnson Centennial Tribute”
The year 2024 marked the 100th birthday of legendary trombonist and NEA Master, J.J. Johnson. In celebration of this centennial milestone, NYC trombonist, John Fedchock recorded a live quartet recording in J.J. Johnson's hometown of Indianapolis titled, “Justifiably J.J.”. The September album release will be celebrated in an official CD release tour, beginning with this October 11 performance at BluJazz+. Appearing alongside Fedchock will be pianist Anthony Fuoco, bassist Aiden Plank, and drummer Jim Rupp. This is a special one-time event not to be missed!
