Midwest trumpet sensation and Akron native returns home by way of Chicago! Featuring Dan Bruce (guitar), Jordan Mcbride (bass), and Zaire Dardin (drums).
Originally from Akron Ohio, Chicago based trumpeter and composer Josh Rzepka has been featured on NPR, PBS, and has been heard on jazz radio across the world. His album Into the Night reached the #9 position on the JazzWeek radio chart and the #5 position on the CMJ Jazz chart.
Josh has released four albums and a highly acclaimed Jazz Duet Book. His jazz albums include, Trumpet Genesis (2013), Into the Night (2011), and his debut album Midwest Coast (2009). His debut classical album was Josh Rzepka: Baroque Music for Trumpet (2010).
He has presented at the International Trumpet Guild Conference, as well as the Brazil Jazz Trumpet Festival.
Since the fall of 2015 Josh has toured with classic rock sensation Under the Streetlamp, playing at major venues across North America including performances with the Cleveland Pops, Detroit Symphony, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, and many other orchestras.
Additional appearances include performing with the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, the Chicago Jazz Orchestra, the Temptations, as well as many other ensembles and groups.
