Bassist Gervis Myles is a Milwaukee native, where he took up the violin at the age of 4, piano at the age of 8, and bass at the age of 12.
Myles began his amateur career playing with the youth symphony in Milwaukee (MYSO). By the time he turned 16, he fell in love with jazz and has been playing ever since. He currently studies at the renowned Oberlin Conservatory with bassist Peter Dominguez and has recently embarked on exploring the Ohio jazz scene.
