Renowned vocalist makes a swingin' return to BLU with her premier jazz group!

There are many people that can sing - but then there is vocalist extraordinaire, Pat Harris.  With career highlights ranging from performances for President Bill Clinton at the White House to Oprah Winfrey to the Cleveland Orchestra, vocalist Pat Harris has made her mark in the music industry in a profound way.

With a versatility that includes vocal mastery in the styles of jazz, classical, and many genres in between, her repertoire includes songs in over six different languages with an extensive vocal range (over 5 octaves)!

About Pat Harris

Pat Harris had an apparent gift of singing from the age of two. Her vocal accomplishments are too numerous to list. This extraordinary vocalist has the ability to touch your heart and raise the roof at the same time. She sings every musical genre with precision and expertise with changing to the appropriate tonal sound. This is a vocalist that can not be categorized and well respected for her professionalism by conductors, artists, and many others.  Pat was given the honor to be a part of the historic Cleveland photoshoot capturing a true moment of time for the Northeast Ohio Jazz community. This photoshoot included 149 great musicians by invite only.   

Some of her notable performances include The Cleveland Orchestra, The Cleveland Pop Orchestra, The Cleveland Chamber Orchestra, The Jazz Heritage Orchestra, The Akron Symphony Orchestra, Zurich Opera House, Oprah Winfrey, President Bill Clinton at The White House, Honorable Louis Stokes, Rev, Dr. Otis Moss Jr.,and many other dignitaries throughout the world. Featured soloist for "Women In Jazz" for The Tri-C Jazz festival, The Madison Jazz Festival, and "A Taste of Cleveland". She has performed as a psalmist for many homegoing services as a special request. Her voice could be heard singing "The National Anthem" for The Cleveland Cavaliers, The Cleveland Browns, and The Cleveland Indians. She has studied her craft formally under such Master Teachers as Mrs. Otta Mae Christy, Maestro Kurt Weil during college in Lucerne, Switzerland and currently with Dr. Samuel Gordon. She sings in over seven different languages. 

Pat Harris has graced the stage in over 18 different countries of the world singing as a solo artist or lead singer.  Her theatrical background is diverse from musicals to Operas including such works as Porgy and Bess, Ragtime, Madame Butterfly, The Messiah, Black Nativity, The Wiz, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Hats The Musical and more. Her talents also lie in the area of stage productions and staging. 

Her recording projects include releases with the group "Superlove" on the Phonogram/RCA labels in Europe. "Passport 2 Jazz" and "This Is Pat Harris" released on an independent label. Sundown Jazz series featured artist on the Cleveland State label. Guest vocalist on numerous artists projects such as Leonard Burks Voices of Praise,  Singers Companye, and Craig Matis. 

Pat continues to give back to the next generation of talent by sharing hers with them by teaching when not touring. She currently works with numerous private gifted students as well as major performances as needed. She enjoys the challenges of learning difficult masterpieces with discipline and passion. 

Currently she also sings as a proud member and featured soloist with "The Singers Companye". This ensemble tours the world as a professional group under the direction of Dr. Samuel Gordon. This group performs with impeccable precision that performs with full orchestra.
