Cleveland jazz bassist, Taylor Arbogast, brings his quartet to BLU Jazz! Featuring, Ronell Regis (sax), Jonah Ferguson (guitar), and Jeremy McCabe (drums).
Taylor Arbogast is a Bassist currently based in Cleveland, Ohio. He is primarily self taught, having taught himself guitar and electric bass as a teenager and playing in punk and metal bands before gaining an interest in jazz.
In 2018, at the age of 22, he obtained a doublebass and started teaching himself the instrument. Over the course of the past 4 years, Taylor has become an active member of the Northeast Ohio Jazz scene, working as a freelancer and working with many other local artists such as Kari Rutushin, Ruby Weston, Chris Hovan, Grant Heineman, Bryan Kennard, Johnny Cochran Jr. ect. and has played at venues such as the BopStop, Blu, Velvet Tango Room, & Con Alma.
The Quartet consists of Taylors close friends and some the best musical talent in Northeast Ohio. They will perform some original music and their takes on classic jazz standards. The group plays with a high level of virtuosity and passion for the music.
